Today, members of the joint Arson Task Force along with Firefighters from the Northampton Mounts Fire Station were out and about supporting Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week, meeting members of the public in both Northampton Market Square and at the Racecourse.
Anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact on our communities, and many of the issues we deal with as part of the Joint Arson Task Force are closely linked. Deliberate fires, fire-setting, criminal damage, vandalism and misuse of fire can put lives at risk, cause distress to residents and businesses, and place unnecessary demands on emergency services.
Our work focuses on preventing these incidents through education, intervention and partnership working. By engaging with communities and raising awareness, we aim to reduce fire-related anti-social behaviour and keep Northamptonshire safer for everyone.
If you see us at any community events, please come and speak to the team to find out more about the work of the Arson Task Force, learn how to report concerns, and discover how we can all play a part in creating safer, stronger communities.
