🌟 Volunteers' Week 2026 🌟
1st – 7th June

This week, we want to recognise and thank the amazing volunteers who help make our community a better place.

At Tidworth Town Council, all of our Councillors are unpaid volunteers, giving their time to support local residents, community projects, and events throughout the year.

We're also incredibly grateful for the many individuals and organisations who volunteer their time and expertise, including The Stonehenge Chamber, Special Constables, members of the Armed Forces who support community initiatives, Tesco's Community Champion, the fantastic volunteers at Castledown FM, local event organisers, Tidworth parkrun, the many Food and Clothing banks and support organisations, The Armed Forces Community Hub Cafe, Local Church Groups, Scouts and Brownies groups, and the dedicated residents who regularly take part in litter-picking and other community activities. Plus so many more the list could go on and on....

Volunteers are the backbone of our community. Whether you're organising events, supporting local groups, helping neighbours, fundraising, broadcasting local news, or simply giving your time to improve the area, your contribution makes a real difference.

👏 Thank you to each and every one!

Tag a volunteer, group, or organisation below and help us celebrate the people who make our community stronger! ❤️

During last week's heatwave it was highly publicised about tragic loss of life due to people swimming in open water.
There are several places in our area where it has been reported that people are going into unauthorised areas of water.
Many of them are contaminated and it is not known what lurks beneath. IT IS NOT SAFE!
Some of the areas are fenced off and it quite clearly states that access is not permitted so you are also at risk of prosecution.
There has also been anti-social behaviour reported as a result of people gathering in these areas.
Please respect the rules and more importantly please STAY SAFE.
