🌿 A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO JOINED OUR LITTER PICK ON SATUREDAY! 🌿

It was lovely to meet some new faces and see the community donating their time to help keep Tidworth looking clean and cared for. 😊💚

Every bag makes a difference and what a difference we made together… 42 bags of rubbish collected! 👏

We'd also like to say a huge thank you to idverde and Wiltshire Council for their kind donation of litter-picking equipment, which helps us to continue organising these community clean-ups. 🌿

We hope to see you all again at our next one — and hopefully even more new faces too! 🌳🌍

🔔 ST MARY’S MORTUARY CHAPEL – OPEN DAY 🔔

We’re delighted to invite you to our annual St Mary’s Mortuary Chapel Open Day! 🏛️✨

📅 Saturday 19th September 2026
⏰ 2.00pm – 4.00pm
📍 St Mary’s Mortuary Chapel, Church Lane, Tidworth SP9 7BD

This year’s Open Day is extra special as we celebrate the restoration and safe rehanging of the chapel’s historic bell. 🔔

We are honoured that Deputy Lord-Lieutenant Polly Nicholson will officially ring the newly refurbished bell, and Reverend Peter will be joining us to bless the bell.

Visitors will also be able to see the chapel following its recent refresh and learn more about the fascinating history of this special building, including its mysterious unknown graves and unique features.

⛪ St Mary’s Church (South Tidworth, Salisbury Road, Near South Drive SP9 7ST) will also be open for visitors, giving you the opportunity to explore both historic buildings and discover more about Tidworth’s heritage.

☕🍰 And, of course, no Open Day would be complete without tea and cake, which will be available during the afternoon!

🚗 Please note: Parking is very limited due to the location of the chapel, so where possible, please walk or car-share. We kindly ask visitors to be considerate of local residents when parking.

❤️ Everyone is welcome! Come along, explore, enjoy some tea and cake, and help us celebrate an important piece of Tidworth’s history.

So grab your coats, bring your family and friends, and come along to help us give Tidworth a little tidy-up. Every pair of hands makes a difference! 💚 Don't forget - free ice-cream to all litter pickers!

Join us for the Community Litter Pick to help keep Tidworth & Perham Down clean and beautiful! All necessary equipment will be provided, so just bring your enthusiasm. Enjoy a well-deserved FREE ice-cream afterwards!

In the past, we've had nearly 100 amazing volunteers join us, and this year we want to make it even bigger and better!
