NTC's organised events are:

⛪ Neyland Town Council's Civic Service for our Mayor, Cllr. Peter Hay - Sunday 11th October. All are welcome.

✨ Neyland Town Council's annual Fireworks Display - Sunday 1st November - we bring the bang every year and this year is no exception!

🪖 Neyland Town Council's Remembrance Service Parade - Sunday 8th November. Parade to leave from Neyland Community Hub at 2.15pm to the Cenotaph. All are welcome to join us for light refreshments following the service back at The Hub.

🎅 Santa's Sleigh Ride & Grotto - Friday 4th December - Santa will take a trip round Neyland, brought to you by NTC & Gareth Hughes Motors (route to be advertised closer to the date), followed by a chance to meet the Big Man himself and grab an early Xmas treat at his Grotto back at The Hub.

Our local health visitor will have her drop in well baby clinic today 15/9 1pm to 2:30pm in St. Clement's church hall today. A great opportunity to check in with her whilst she's running her clinic in Neyland.

Neyland Town Council are looking to Co-opt 6 new members to our team of Councillors!

Details of eligibility are outlined in the advertisment below, but here's more about the actual role of a Town & Community Councillor ☺️

⭐️ Representing the Community: Councillors act as representatives of their community, ensuring local concerns and interests are heard and addressed.

⭐️ Supporting local events and Groups: Councillors can provide support to local events and community groups, helping to create a vibrant and active community. This includes physical and financial support to all walks of diverse groups within our community.

⭐️Promoting Community Engagement: Councillors hold monthly public meetings. This aims to foster a sense of involvement in local governance and an understanding of decisions made about your local community.

⭐️ Ensuring Transparency and Accountability: Councillors are responsible for ensuring that the Council operates transparently, adhering to good governance principles and ethical standards.

⭐️ Improving Local Services: By working closely with the County Council, Councillors can advocate for the delivery of essential services that enhance the quality of life for residents.

⭐️ Building Partnerships: Councillors work with organisations and bodies to deliver services and support, fostering collaboration and cooperation within the community.

A message from Dwr Cymru -

From Wednesday, 9th September 2026, our contractors Envolve will be carrying out work to remove silt deposits from the wastewater network in the area, including our outfall which is located on Neyland Foreshore.

They will be working mostly Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm, but due to the location of our work in the estuary, will also need to work later and on weekends as we need to work with the tides and weather. If everything goes to plan, we should have everything finished by the end of September 2026.

Where?

The work will be carried out on sections of the highway in and around The Promenade, Church Road and Military Road, where our pumping station and wastewater treatment works are located. So, you may notice more vehicles in the area than usual.

During our work on the outfall, which is used to return cleaned and treated water back to the environment, we will be using water to clean the pipe so you may notice more water than usual coming out of the pipe. This is clean water and not wastewater. The work has been carefully planned and approved, with appropriate environmental controls in place, and is not expected to have any adverse impact on the estuary/river or the surrounding environment.
