This year's Railway Studies and Modellers Show takes place on Saturday 14th November, 10am-4pm.

We'll be joined by a number of exhibitors, traders and layouts including Upton/Downtown layout. This fictitious layout is a development of Woodtown, with Hornby Dublo 3-rail track and trains from the 1930s to the 1960s.

The 39x48 inch boards fit a small car boot, yet its double track circuit allows trains to run between two terminus stations and sidings, and locos to turn.

Admission to the show is just £3 per person on the door, under 16s go free! Make sure to save the date and we'll look forward to seeing you there!

Paint & Splash - an afternoon painting workshop for all abilities launching on Friday 4th September, 2-4pm, and then running every 1st Friday of the month. Apply simple techniques to produce your very own masterpiece, all materials are supplied! Book for one date or book for several sessions, it's up to you!

Just £5 per person!

The summer is just flying by and unbelievably the new school year is just around the corner!

A reminder that the Summer Book Quest is running for another TWO WEEKS, officially ending on Saturday 12th September. This still plenty of time to take part but make sure you finish your challenge by this date to receive all your stickers, certificate and keyring from the library!

Don't forget we're also hosting a very special party (the Great Library Delivery Challenge 🚀) on Saturday 12th September, 10am-2pm for everyone who has finished the Secret Book Quest!

A reminder that due to an event, the Railway Studies Library will be unavailable for quiet study from 3pm this Thursday 27th August until 1pm on Friday 28th August.

The Brunel room will be made available during these times as an alternative quiet study area.
