Please note that Newry and Down Leisure Centres will operate with reduced opening hours of 𝟵:𝟯𝟬𝗮𝗺 - 𝟰:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟭 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁.

Ballymote Sports & Wellbeing Centre, Newcastle Centre and St. Colman's Sports Complex will be 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟭 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁.

🏃‍❤️🏃‍♀️ From recovery to remarkable achievement

A group of inspirational men and women from across our district raised an incredible £7,813 for Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke after completing the Belfast City Marathon. 🙌🎉

Aged between 63 and 78, the participants took on the 26-mile challenge in two relay teams, transforming their personal experiences of illness, rehabilitation and recovery into a powerful fundraising effort for charity. ❤️

Having overcome heart attacks, major cardiac events and surgery, group members rebuilt their strength, confidence and fitness through our Be Active for Health initiative, including the Physical Activity Referral Scheme (PARS) and Cardiac Rehabilitation classes. 💪🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

The marathon was a celebration of friendship, determination and the life-changing impact of physical activity. Congratulations to everyone involved on their outstanding achievement🌟
