As a child, I (Alexis Hall) started swimming at the age of 4. By the age of 9 I started competing in swimming events. I found so much enjoyment in swimming that I went on to help out at a local swimming school every Saturday. It was the one thing I really looked forward to, so I decided to complete the ASA training to become a Level 2 Teacher. I have since completed various courses to develop a better understanding of how to deliver the best lessons for different age groups and abilities. I have taught swimming for various swim schools for over 5 years and eventually I was so motivated by the success of the children’s progress and the set-up of lessons available, I decided to set up my own swim school in Buckinghamshire in 2009. In 2011, I relocated to Cornwall to be close to the sea where I have continued teaching in Truro and Newquay. I have also achieved my beach and pool lifeguard award, which further ignited my passion to continue my love of being in the water. In 2013, I met my partner Luke and in 2015 our gorgeous baby boy Leo arrived! We have made a point of taking him swimming as a family as much as possible and he loves it. This was the final nudge to prompt us to start up Diddy Dolphins and continue our dream of launching my Swim School here in Cornwall offering fun, safe and professional lessons for the local community.

It has been such an incredible week back in the pool 🤍🐬
We are so grateful to everyone who has chosen Diddy Dolphins to continue their swim journey. 🙌

This week we have assessed all groups and will be making sure every child is progressing at the right pace... We will be emailing or messaging any family whose child needs to change time/group.

Hopefully this will only be a few tweaks and we will continue to support the success in the pool. 🏆

As another wonderful term comes to an end, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to our amazing swimming families. 🤍🐬
Your kindness, generosity and thoughtful gifts mean the world to us. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your children's swimming journeys. It is such a privilege to watch them grow in confidence, develop new skills and achieve things they never thought possible.

To all of our swimmers who are moving on to new adventures and bigger challenges, we are so incredibly proud of every single one of you. It has been a joy to watch you thrive in the water.
We truly believe that for so many of you, swimming is your thing, and we can't wait to see where your journeys take you. Keep believing in yourselves, keep working hard and never stop enjoying the water. Once a Diddy Dolphin, always a Diddy Dolphin! 💙

We also want to say a very special thank you to our wonderful teacher, Hannah, as she leaves the Diddy Dolphins family. Hannah has touched the lives of so many swimmers with her patience, encouragement and genuine care. She has celebrated every achievement, supported children through their worries and helped so many families create happy memories in the pool. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has given to our swim school, and she will be deeply missed by us all. Hannah, we wish you every success and happiness in your next adventure, you will always be part of the Diddy Dolphins family.
