Newquay Town Council’s Facilities Team work hard all year round, seven days a week, to keep our public facilities clean and welcoming. They check and clean 13 sites across Newquay up to four times a day. Thank you to the team for everything you do for Newquay!

The team also look after maintenance, health and safety, energy management and long‑term improvements to Council‑owned facilities, helping to keep our public spaces safe, accessible and well cared for!

The public toilets at Little Fistral are temporarily closed due to unforeseen maintenance issues and continued inappropriate use of the facilities. This misuse is not only preventing the wider community from accessing them but is also resulting in additional costs to the public purse.

We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will provide an update as soon as they are ready to reopen.

Thank you for your understanding.

Our 2026 Community Grant Scheme is now open, supporting projects that bring people together and make a real difference locally!

Blystra Arts received ÂŁ500 to support their Community Lantern Making Workshop. Held on 16 November, this free event brought together 350 to 400 attendees, who created more than 200 lanterns.

The workshop was a huge success, culminating in a stunning lantern parade on 22 November through Trenance Valley to the Trees and Tales light switch on event, attended by thousands of local residents.

Thank you, Blystra Arts, for showcasing the creativity, talent and community spirit that make Newquay so special.

Thanks to funding from Newquay Town Council in 2024!
