In 2014 we set out with the goal to transform Maindee into a sustainable community with a strong reputation as an attractive, safe, culturally vibrant and cohesive place to work, live and enjoy. We’re located in Maindee Library in East Newport, where you’ll find our volunteer-run library, cafe, and local meeting place. Join people from all walks of life, languages and

cultures for a range of events and activities to improve the future of Maindee Community. Help us build a new Maindee, together.

Our volunteer crew have decided to open the library on Fridays mornings from July. This is on top of the new opening on Monday mornings that started last September. It's an extra 9 hours a week of community library services in Maindee.
