Nature has been perfecting flight for millions of years. This year's IPO Innovation Award winner Saanvi Patankar asked what we could learn from it.
Saanvi's project looked at how the remarkable flight of birds such as owls, frogmouths and hawks could inspire morphing wing structures that make aircraft more efficient and more sustainable. A brilliant example of innovation with real-world impact.
The IPO Innovation Award is all about nurturing the next generation of innovators and helping young people understand how intellectual property can protect and power their ideas. Saanvi's project ticked every box.
Well done Saanvi, and thank you to all the students and teachers who supported entries this year. We can't wait to see what next year brings!
