⭐️ BREAKING NEWS ⭐️

Tonight, the Labour-led council in Newport has
agreed to give care experienced young people who have been in the care of the local authority – protected characteristic status.

This means that young people who are in care or have experience of care will have the same protection from discrimination as other protected characteristics including age, s*x, race, s*xual orientation and religion.

Newport is the first council in Wales to recognise care experience as a protected characteristic and we could not be more proud

Thank you to all of our care experienced young people and those who have supported them for your help in making this happen 🖤💛
