It's estimated that there are 194,559 people in Wales with kidney disease, yet many don't realise they have it until it has significantly progressed.

That's why Kidney Care UK and Kidney Wales have joined forces to launch the campaign across Wales, raising awareness of kidney disease, encouraging people to understand their risk, and highlighting the importance of early detection.

The fundraising campaign received widespread support from local residents, businesses and organisations, including a £500 donation from us, helping the school reach its target.

👷 𝗘𝘅𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲

We’re starting work on 8 June to upgrade the gas pipes in the Salterton Road area of Exmouth.

This investment is vital to ensure gas continues to flow safely and reliably to homes and businesses across the area – helping keep people warm for decades to come.

We’ve worked closely with Devon County Council to plan the project, and traffic management will be in place, including:
•A direction road closure on Cranford Avenue / Littleham Road, where motorists won’t be able to access Cranford Avenue from Littleham Road (8 June – 3 July)
•Traffic lights on Littleham Road (1 – 4 September)

We’d like to thank the community for their patience while we carry out this essential work.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 #𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸!

We’re shining a light on our incredible 𝙂𝙖𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝘼𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙧𝙨 who give up their time to deliver free, fun, and interactive gas safety sessions in primary schools, youth groups, secondary schools and community organisations.

Not only do they help people stay safe around gas, but they also raise awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide in an engaging way.

Plus, primary school pupils get to take home a Gas Ambassador Pack—so the whole family can learn how to stay safe.

We're proud of the recent visit to Penygarn Primary School to deliver important gas safety message to over 250 pupils. Read more here: https://buff.ly/AnwZuxJ

❗️ 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱, 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 – 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸

We’re carrying out essential emergency work to replace a gas pipe on Cheddar Road in Wedmore, starting 4 June, and it is expected to take around 2 weeks.

To keep everyone safe, the B3151 at Clewer Bridge will be closed, with a diversion route clearly signposted.

It has been agreed that school buses will be permitted to pass through during the closure in the mornings.

We know road closures can be disruptive and really appreciate the community’s patience while we complete this important work.

Please allow extra time if you’re travelling in the area.
