Today, our crew and colleagues from driver training, stood together for a minute’s silence at 13:46, 25 years on from the devastating events of September 11, 2001.

13:46 here in the UK marks 08:46 in New York, the moment the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center and the events of that day began to unfold.

We paused to remember the 343 firefighters who lost their lives, alongside all those who went to work that morning to help others and never returned home.

25 years on, their courage, sacrifice and service will never be forgotten.

Help Stacey O'Hara raise money to support Fire Fighters Charity

🚒🚒🚒 National resilience 🚒🚒🚒

Today Suffolk fire and rescue are sending 3 appliances to assist with the wildfires in Hampshire and Wales.

The appliances are crewed with firefighters from all across Suffolk including one firefighter from Newmarket.

Josh will say good bye to his family today and are not expected to return until Tuesday at which time further crews could be sent.

With this unprecedented weather it is important services support each other and give aid as seen at Dunwich which had 18 different services supporting Suffolk fire and rescue.
