Did you know that Radiographers are classed as Professionally Qualified Soldiers (PQS)?
Did you know that PQS applicants are dealt with by a specialist recruitment team at the National Recruitment Centre?
PQS are recruited to apply their skills and experience in a military environment and on completion of Basic Military Training they can be promoted up to the Rank of Acting Corporal.
The Royal Army Medical Service Reserve is always recruiting Allied Health Professionals including Biomedical Scientists and Radiographers.

THE STRENGTH OF THE PACK IS THE WOLF 🐺 AND THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS THE PACK

A mantra that rings true in the Army, as well as in the animal kingdom.

These images show the African Wild Dog (also known as the Painted Dog), which are incredibly rare and classed as endangered on the IUCN Red List.

One of our Service Personnel was lucky to encounter this rare sighting and capture this image while deployed to the British Army attaining by Unit Kenya (BATUK) last year.

We’re now on the countdown to our next deployment to Kenya. In less than two months the whole unit will be travelling to this beautiful country to take part in Community Engagement 🇰🇪

The Royal Army Medical Service Reserve is always recruiting, Speciaists, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals including Biomedical Scientists and Radiographers as well as Support staff.
The Army Reserve is a spare time paid employment utilising your skills in a different environment.
Can you spare 27 days of your time?
Recruiters are currently in the SERCO Restaurant at James Cook University Hospital.

This weekend the sun came out for our PT session on the beach ☀️ everyone completed their SCR (Soldier Conditioning Review), which is a mandatory fitness assessment.

KARIBU and ASANTE 🙏 to the individual augmentees who are going to be joining us on our Annual Camp in Kenya; who came to train with us this weekend 🏃🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️ we look forward to working with you more in Kenya 🇰🇪

Cpl Connolly received the ‘Commander Medical’s Coin for Excellence’ for his outstanding contributions and dedication to his work as a mobilised Reservist at the British Army Training and Support Unit Belize.

This weekend, the award was presented to Cpl Connolly by Lt Col Bramwell-Walsh (Commanding Officer 214MMR) on behalf of Colonel Guest (Commander Medical Field Army Troops).

**Vacancies for Nursing Officers**

The Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS) currently has vacancies for Nursing Officers.

Nurses who have been qualified for two years or more can apply as a Professionally Qualified Officer (PQO).
On successful completion of the Army Officer Selection Board and Arms and Service Board interview, you will only have 4 weeks military training, this is split into two 2 week courses at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
