Why learn to swim with us?
Situated in the heart of Jesmond, Jesmond Aqua School is one of the longest running and most successful swim schools in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Starting back in the 1980’s, we now have a team of over 15 incredibly experienced and bubbly teachers who are caring, passionate, patient, enthusiastic and love their jobs. Affiliated with Jesmond Community Leisure, our fantastic relationship between staff, members of the public and families has meant that we have been able to provide amazing opportunities for a vital life saving skill, and we now have more than 500 hardworking children learning to swim at Jesmond Aqua School.
At Jesmond Aqua School we offer a comprehensive programme of swimming lessons for children from 4 months old to adults. - Cygnets for babies 4 month - 3 years. - Learn to swim group lessons from 3 years. - Adult Private one-to-one or group lessons. - Private one-to-one lessons from 3 years. Our programme follows the ASA learn to swim framework. All our instructors are ASA qualified under British Swimming and DBS checked so you can rest assured that your child is in capable professional hands.
Our framework: CYGNETS / SHRIMP / SEAHORSE 1 / SEAHORSE 2/ STARFISH 1/ STARFISH 2 / SWORDFISH 1 / SWORDFISH 2 / SHARK / ROOKIES / JESMOND AQUA ACADEMY There are many reasons why we have had thousands of children eager to learn to swim come through our doors. Hard work, passion and dedication have allowed children to efficiently grow and develop their swimming through our learn to swim framework.
