We are thrilled to be recognised in The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers 2026.

This recognition reflects our commitment to developing talent, creating opportunities, and investing in the future workforce across the North East. We are incredibly proud of our apprentices and colleagues who have made this achievement possible.

Ruth Auton, Head of Education, Learning & Organisational Development, travelled to London to speak with The Sunday Times and appear on television, highlighting the impact of our apprenticeship programme and the opportunities it creates.

Here's to continuing to support and inspire the next generation of talent 🎉

TW: Domestic abuse

High stakes football matches such as the world cup often result in a significant spike in reported cases of domestic abuse.

While domestic abuse isn’t directly caused by football, it can increase risk factors such as heightened emotions, alcohol consumption, financial pressures and increased time spent at home.

When Sophie and Jordan realised that Sophie’s grandmother, Pat, wouldn’t be able to attend their wedding due to receiving end-of-life care, they were determined to find a way to include her in their special day.

Thanks to the compassion and dedication of our hospital chaplaincy team, and staff from the palliative care unit at North Tyneside General Hospital a heartfelt wedding blessing was arranged, bringing the family together to create precious memories.

A truly special occasion for one family, made possible through kindness, compassion and teamwork. 💙

Come behind the scenes with our school aged immunisation team as they spend the day vaccinating Year 8 students against HPV 💉

Both girls and boys in Year 8 receive the HPV vaccine to protect them against human papillomavirus which can cause some cancers such as cervical and male cancers. HPV is spread though close contact with someone who has the virus so getting the vaccine is the best way for your child to be protected.

For more information on the vaccine, visit our website. Link in the comments below 🔗
