Newcastle Free Education Network A group for all students & workers who want free education - free from fees, cuts and management.

The Newcastle Free Education Network (NFEN) is a grass-roots student and worker organization that envisions the realization of the right of free education for all. NFEN is also active in organizing and promoting actions both inside and outside the University and stands in solidarity with students, workers, refugees, and all marginalised and oppressed groups. What we’re about:
- Grass-roots/ direct

-democracy
- Student based action
- Broad anti-capitalist standpoint

What we’re here to do:
- Offer students and workers practical solidarity in all disputes and struggles whether that be in the workplace, within education or with landlords
- Create an inclusive movement that challenges, and ultimately contributes to the dismantlement of capitalist hegemony and structures of power

After a decade of pay cuts, nurses and NHS workers deserve a proper pay rise. We back their demand for 15% and we'll back them if they strike.

And if it does go that far, Momentum members will be out on the picket lines supporting the health workers who have supported us.
