861 (Wideopen) Squadron ATC Cadets have the opportunity to be involved in a huge range of activities from flying to adventure training, shooting to sports and even residential camps.

Congratulations to Flt Sgt Elsom who last Thursday completed the aviation training syllabus to achieve the title of 'Master Cadet'.

This is a really great achievement and it was a pleasure to be able to present this award to Flt Sgt Elsom last Thursday.

Very well done indeed, a model example of the value of effort and persistence to achieve this top classification.

Congratulations to Sgt Armstrong on passing his Method Of Instruction (MOI) assessment, with special thanks to Flt Lt Hartwell from 2344 (Longbenton) Sqn.

This teaching qualification, signified by the yellow lanyard, now means that Sgt Armstrong can help deliver the lessons that comprise Air Cadet training syllabus.
