Anyone have any connection to the Colliery Band?

Although offically starting at last Thursday’s rehearsal and already completing his first concert on Sunday. The band would like to welcome Calum Hartwell, our new Musical Director. We are positive he will carry on the works of our previous conductor, by driving us onward and upward to a successful future.

He started this band saying, “I'm so glad to be able to carry the band forward and to push the bands ability through concerts and contests in the future.” - Something we are looking forward to!

Although still young, Calum has played and conducted bands of different styles and is versatile in many brass instruments. We are therefore, excited to see what skills and knowledge he will bring to the band and how this will drive the improvement for individuals and as a team.
