🌸 NEWBURY IN BLOOM 2026 WINNERS ANNOUNCED! 🌸

Newbury came together at the Corn Exchange on 9 September to celebrate this year’s Newbury in Bloom winners. With 60 entries across eight categories, the evening recognised the people, communities and businesses helping to make our town bloom.

Congratulations to all this year’s winners! 👏🌿

We’d like to thank everyone who entered, our sponsors and the Corn Exchange team for helping make the evening such a wonderful celebration.

🌳 We also celebrated the continued Green Flag status of Victoria Park and City Recreation Ground, recognising them among the best parks in the country.

We’re delighted that the brand-new natural play unit at Hutton Close is now open! 🎉

Created following feedback from our public consultation, the new feature gives children the chance to climb, balance, explore and use their imaginations in a natural setting. 🌿

Made from sustainably sourced natural oak, it’s a beautiful new addition to the area.

For the Love of Nature – Exhibition Extended! 🌿

Good news! The For the Love of Nature exhibition by Friends of the Earth Newbury has been extended and is now open until Sunday 20th September.

Discover the amazing work of local green groups and be inspired by projects helping to make our environment more interesting, enjoyable and healthier for everyone.

The exhibition includes displays from local green groups, schools and churches as part of the Newbury Nature Corridors project, along with bird and bat boxes, DIY activities, educational activities for youngsters and video footage showcasing some of the projects.

Whether you’re passionate about wildlife, gardening and conservation, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, there’s plenty to discover. 🌼🐦🦇
