Northern Powergrid are thrilled to announce an expanded fund to assist more community organisations in creating warm, safe, and welcoming spaces during winter. ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐บ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐ ๐ธ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐!

Eligible organisations can apply for grants ranging from ยฃ250 to ยฃ1,000. This fund supports:
โข Registered charities
โข Community Interest Companies (CICs)
โข Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs)
โข Constituted voluntary organizations
๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐ฑ๐ฒ:
โข Funding is now available across all Northern Powergrid areas.
โข Increased annual income eligibility from ยฃ10,000 to ยฃ50,000.
โข Projects should be within the ๐ฏ๐ฌ% ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ป๐ด๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ (IMD Deciles 1, 2, or 3).
โข Flexible applications for items and resources to enhance warm spaces.
๐๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐:
To apply, organisations must already operate an established warm hub or warm space that:
โข Provides at least one session per week during the winter months
โข Offers a warm, safe and welcoming place to sit and connect
โข Provides access to a hot drink
โข Can demonstrate that the service is actively promoted through channels such as social media, posters, leaflets or a website
Organisations do not need to be registered with the Warm Welcome Network to apply.
๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป:
Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis and there is no fixed closing date.
However, as this is a pilot programme, the fund is limited to 60 applications and may close once either:
โข 60 applications have been received, or
โข All available funding has been allocated.
For this reason, ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐ด๐น๐ ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ.
