Sadly the regular problem with dog owners NOT picking up their dogs mess is getting worse, particularly around the Church Circle. The gully between the fence around St Paulinus and the large kerbing before the footpath is zcjurch land and there’s no one to clean that up. The guy who tends the grass cutting within the church will if he’s passing bag it. But the footpath is the responsibility of the Town Council who will clear the paths but not the gully.please, take more than one bag when walking your dog. Dog poo is not pleasant to see and or step on. So please bag it. Take it home or put in the dog bin close to the bus stop. If your seen and spoken too by the dog warden I think it’s up to a £1,000 fine. So that as apposed to a 2p poo bag a no brainier. Better for the community we all live in and not a big hole in your wallet if your caught.

Huge thanks to Cemetery grounds keeper Darren. Had the first opportunity to visit the Cemetery in official capacity since lockdown began yesterday. Darren should be proud of the standards he has set himself, the grounds are outstanding and what a pleasure it was to personally thank him for those standards,

Nice to see so many members of the community still adhering to the face mask even though now voluntary usage, distancing hmmm! and quite a number skipping the hand gel and trolly anti bacterial juice!
Although restrictions now lessoned somewhat COVID 19 ain’t going anywhere fast. After just about 18 months of mask wearing I’m still a fan of protecting both myself and others. Same with hand and trolly cleansing. (Personal choice) not a criticism, just makes sense to me. Happy to do whatever it takes to rid us of this virus.

Yet another BT scam going around. Message saying your Router is faulty and will be disconnected within the hour. They leave a premium rate number for you to call to order a new router that unfortunately will carry a surcharge of £15. (Discounted for being a good customer), they’re ordinarily £90, please call us to progress your new router.
Take care everyone

Restrictions being lifted doesn’t mean we ignore the basics. Wear your mask please when inside stores etc, stick to the Social Distancing of 2mtrs, wash hands regularly. If using a store basket/trolley, please use the cleansing materials stores provide and do when entering AND leaving the store.
Take care, stay safe.

Forgetting the clocks went forward this afternoon, and needing bread, bottle of wine and one or two other bits. Of course 3.15 on our analogue wall clock was actually 4.15.
So, supermarkets closed ventured down to Costcutter, could not park anywhere near the store, carried on and went down to Turner Ave Premier store Boughton. Having been a few times in the past and basically said exactly the same as happened today. The staff in that store are just brilliant, helpful, courteous, friendly and what a clean spotless store it is. The lady being served in front of myself couldn’t have been more helpful in the decision as to which wine to buy, bit of a giggle had too. So if ever you miss the main supermarkets, do yourself a favour, GO PREMIER BOUGHTON, you’d be hard pressed to find better service anywhere. And not expensive either.
This following on to the amazing night we had as Dukeries Lions when on the Santa Christmas run, parking Santa and his sleigh outside the store who had spread the word throughout the estate to fantastic effect. One of the best nights we had over this last Christmas.
