We are pleased to announce that having spoken to the local police force, they will endeavour, going forward, to have a representative attend our Parish Council meetings.

They are intending to attend our meeting on the 22nd June, subject to no other emergencies requiring their manpower at short notice!

In the past we always had a PCSO in attendance at meetings, however recently, due to stretched resources, their presence has not been possible. It is great that they are once again able to partake.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone to raise any concerns they may have with the local authorities and for them to support us as a community.

Norwell and Norwell Woodhouse Parish Council June Newsletter

Firstly, the Parish Council would like to record its thanks to John Hobson for the time and effort that he invested during his period as Chair of the Council.

Following recent appointments, the Council is now once again at full strength and is pushing forward with its agreed commitments.

A water pump has been installed on the allotments – it is being well used in the current weather!

At last, the village signs are being dealt with, the white lines have been done (thank you, Councillor Bruce Laughton) and we are speaking to the police to have them attend Parish Council meetings so that they hear and act upon the concerns of residents.

A quick note to responsible dog walkers: thank you for keeping the village free from dog mess. Most residents do pick up waste and bin it. Those who fail to collect their dog’s waste are committing a criminal offence and we are liaising with the police to ensure that the law is properly enforced. Owners who ignore the law risk a heavy fine, something no one wants in the current economic climate.

We would be delighted to see any member of the public at the Parish Council meetings. Times and dates can be found on the Village Notice Board.
