New Milton Community Responders We're all volunteers for South Central Ambulance. Once an ambulance crew arrives at the scene, CFRs work alongside a clinically qualified practitioner.

We are volunteers who are trained to attend emergency calls received by South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and provide Emergency care until the ambulance arrives Community First Responders( CFRs) use life-saving skills, such as the use of the automated external defibrillator (AED), to provide early and often vital intervention for patients suffering life-threatening emergencies in the immediate vicinity of where they live or work.

Today, we will share with you how our volunteers offer us the gift of their time, their personal stories, and how they make a difference in the lives of their communities. Our volunteers are essential to us because without them, we would be unable to make the impact that we do in our communities and to our frontline colleagues. Every year, our volunteer projects cost our organisation over £350,000!

If you haven't heard, ABP Southampton Marathon has changed its date!

ABP Southampton Marathon will now take place on the 2nd of April instead of the 23rd of April!
Sunday, the 2nd of April, is three weeks before the London Marathon, so this event will be perfect practice if you have secured a ballot place. Additionally, the 2nd of April is the weekend before Easter, meaning you can have a guilt-free bank holiday weekend!

South Central Ambulance Charity is pleased to announce that we have secured a limited number of Charity places at the ABP Southampton Marathon and the Wi******er Marafun in 2023.

Choose the distance that's right for you!
ABP Southampton Marathon’s first 5K race is being included in the Marathon day alongside it’s 10K Race, Half Marathon and Full Marathon with the Wi******er Marafun, including its Half Marathon and Hilly 10K Race.
