The historic core of the Estate is Grange Park, a 600 acre landscaped park which contains The Grange, an important Grade I listed neo-classical country house in the guardianship of English Heritage. The house is no longer occupied but is home to an annual summer opera festival in a 550 seat theatre created within the old orangery. Weddings and Special Events
One of Hampshire’s finest wedding and events venues, located 15 minutes east of Wi******er and 60 minutes south of London, is set in an idyllic and historical setting on the banks of the Candover Brook. At the historic core of the Estate is Grange Park, a 600 acre landscaped park and “The Grange”, an important Grade I listed neo-classical country house. The Grange Estate has a number of commercial tenants, housed in redundant agricultural premises converted for industrial, commercial and display use. Hampshire Campsite
Located on the north-east side of the Estate, about a mile from The Grange, Abbotstone Wood Campsite is situated in Hampshire, surrounded by deciduous woodlands and rolling meadows. This perfect countryside setting offers the opportunity to pitch tents in the meadows or in the woods. Facilities on site include hot gas powered showers, flushing loos and plenty of wood for campfires. Hampshire Vineyard
The Estate contains a 30 acre vineyard overlooking the Itchen Valley between the villages of Itchen Stoke and Itchen Abbas. This was planted in 2011 with chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier grape varieties – the same varieties which are used to produce champagne in France. Currently this enterprise focuses on supplying grapes to the rapidly growing UK sparkling wine industry. In due course the partners of the business intend to develop their own sparkling wine brand. Special Area Of Conservation
The Estate contains several miles of chalk stream running through attractive watermeadows and woods, as well as two ornamental lakes set in the park. This habitat supports an abundance of important flora and fauna. It is designated environmentally significant under UK and European law, forming part of the Upper Itchen Special Area of Conservation under the latter. Fly Fishing In Hampshire
The Candover Brook and Itchen provide excellent dry fly fishing for brown trout and grayling and some of the Estate’s water is leased to the Piscatorial Society, a long established fishing club. The Estate is also home to a pheasant shoot, which lets a number of days commercially each year. There are healthy populations of roe, fallow and muntjac deer across the Estate which are managed to produce venison and prevent excessive woodland and crop damage.
