Swansea Bay Community Health Council - CHC

Swansea Bay Community Health Council - CHC Llais Neath Port Talbot & Swansea Region - your local voice in health and social care.

Llais is an independent statutory body, set up by the Welsh Government to give the people of Wales much more say in the planning and delivery of their health and social care services –
locally, regionally and nationally. Llais Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Region are here to understand your views and experiences of health and social care, and to make sure your feedback is used by decision makers t

o shape your services in Wales. We seek out both good and bad stories so we understand what works well and how services may need to get better. And we look to particularly talk to those whose voices are not often heard. If you need to raise a concern about an NHS or social care service, you can talk to us. Our trained, dedicated complaints advocacy staff will provide you with the free, independent, and confidential support you are entitled to.

As of 1 April 2023, Community Health Councils across Wales were replaced by a new statutory but independent Citizen Voice Body for health and social care. The operational name for the new body is Llais. The Welsh Government has legally charged the body with responsibility to raise the power and influence of the voices of people living in Wales in shaping health and social care services locally, regionally, and nationally.

Have your say on how Llais can work with the people of Wales for better health and social care services. Complete our simple survey by either sharing your own thoughts, ideas and experiences, or discussing these questions with your colleagues and communities, and sharing your responses as a group. Link to survey here: https://forms.office.com/e/aNk8nDxWrN

What you tell us will help us to set out the future direction and priorities for Llais’s work in the years ahead and help to make sure it works for everyone, in all parts of Wales.
If you would like to discuss the work in more detail, or have any questions relating to the above, please contact us by telephone 01639 683490 or email us [email protected]

Closing date to share your views is 31 July 2023.

Through our national survey, one patient told us:
"Almost impossible to get a GP appointment. Ring at 08:00 4 consecutive days, on average 30 calls a day. This discriminates against parents & carers who are mostly female"
Do you find it hard to get a G.P appointment during the 8am scramble? Please follow this link to our survey and share your story: http://ow.ly/Gq4i50MMOFl

Yn ein harolwg Cenedlaethol, dywedodd un claf:
"Bron yn amhosibl cael apwyntiad meddyg teulu. Ffonio am 08:00 4 diwrnod yn olynol, tua 30 galwad y dydd. Mae hyn yn gwahaniaethu yn erbyn rhieni a gofalwyr sy'n fenywod"
Cael hi’n anodd cael apwyntiad meddyg teulu yn ystod rhuthr 8yb? Dilynwch y ddolen hon i'n harolwg byr a rhannwch eich stori:: http://ow.ly/t9P250MMOSG
