The Calder Learning Trust was established in September 2017. We are a through-school for pupils from ages 4-16. Our school is situated in the village of Mytholmroyd in the vibrant Calder Valley, West Yorkshire.

Parent Carer Survey: Experiences of Children and Young People with SEND in Mainstream Settings

Last year, we launched our Mainstream Inclusion Calderdale guidance for schools and settings. This guidance was developed together to help schools provide the right support for all children, recognise when extra help is needed, and focus on each child’s individual strengths and needs.

We would really value your feedback about your experiences of the support your child receives in a mainstream school. We want to get it right for all our children, and we know we still have more to do. As experts in your own children, your lived experience and voices are vital in helping us improve. Your responses will help us understand what is working well and where things could be better.

We will carry out this survey each year so we can see the difference it is making and continue to improve our Mainstream Inclusion Calderdale guidance.

This survey will be open until Friday 9th October.

We are proud to share that The Calder Learning Trust has achieved the Silver School Mental Health Award from the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools. The award certifies our dedication to supporting students and staff with their mental health.

All at The Calder Learning Trust would like to congratulate our Year 11 Class of 2026 on a brilliant set of examination results. Our students have again performed exceptionally well, securing qualifications well above national averages and improving on the success of last year’s results to achieve some of the best results in the school’s history.

We are very proud of all of our students; they have shown a real commitment to their studies, made the most of all the opportunities offered and achieved fantastic academic
outcomes.

We would like to thank all of our students, staff and parents who have worked together to support our young people through their time at The Calder Learning Trust, and wish them good luck as they step proudly into the next stage of their lives.

GCSE results will be available to collect on Thursday 20th August from 8:30-11:00am in the Calder Primary building.
For anyone who chose to receive their results via email, these should be with you from 8:00 am.
Exam results will also be available on the DFE Education Record app from 11:00am. If you have not signed up to this and would like to, a screen will be available on results day for this.
