Great to join campaigners tonight at Monklands Hospital. The SNP government have let the people of Lanarkshire down over the new hospital.

It was a pleasure to join tonight’s stand up for the Monklands petition launch.

Patients have been let down. Staff have been let down. Lanarkshire has been let down.

What was promised to locals earlier this year now won’t be delivered and it’ll be years before we see anything of substance built on the Wester Moffat site.

Local people are righty demanding answers and alongside colleagues I’ll keep working to get them.

Many thanks to the constituents who attended our street surgery today in Margaret Street.

We walked around afterwards in the Coathill area, and have picked up a few issues which we will now be dealing with.

It was also great to see that the first occupants have moved in at the council housing site on School Street, which is a milestone project in the council’s New Supply Programme.

Thank you to our constituents who joined us for the street surgery this afternoon on Henderson Street in Dundyvan.

After the street surgery, we took a walk around the surrounding area, and picked up a couple of council issues which will now be taken forward.

It was also good to see works underway on yet more properties in the area as part of the Council’s housing investment programme.
