NOTICE: Resurfacing works-
TAMESIDE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH
(QUICKEDGE ROAD, MOSSLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) 2026

THE TAMESIDE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL hereby give Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, that from 14 September 2026 for a period not exceeding 5 days, expected to be 5 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 (carriageway will be clear at all other times), Quickedge Road, Mossley will be subject to a temporary notice, the effect of which will be to: -

Temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along Quickedge Road, Mossley for its entire length in either direction.

There will not be an alternative route, access will be maintained for emergency services at all times.

The Notice will be defined when signs are displayed on street in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.

The purpose of the Notice is to protect the general public from any potential danger that may arise whilst carriageway resurfacing works are undertaken.

(MANCHESTER ROAD, MOSSLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) 2026

THE TAMESIDE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL hereby give Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, that from 21 September 2026 to 22 September 2026 for a period not exceeding 5 days, expected to be 1 night (20:00-04:00), Manchester Road, Mossley will be subject to a temporary notice, the effect of which will be to: -

Temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along Manchester Road, Mossley between its junction with Stanhope Street to its junction with Egmont Street in either direction.

The alternative route for southerly bound traffic will be via Manchester Road, Stamford Road, Stamford Street, Mossley Road, Park Parade, Stamford Street (Ashton-under-Lyne), Wakefield Road. The alternative route for northerly bound traffic will be vice versa.

The Notice will be defined when signs are displayed on street in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.

The purpose of the Notice is to protect the general public from any potential danger that may arise whilst United Utilities access a carriageway manhole for the installation of a monitor.
