Because who doesn't love Forest School Friday's?!

Robins finished off their work about the story book Zog by attending Dragon School. They have learnt how to fly, make dragon lairs, dragon stew, practiced their roaring and finally caught a princess!
They all passed Dragon School with flying colours

This afternoon, year 3 spent time carefully sketching a variety of animals we can find in our locality.
They then began painting with water colours and once they are dried, they will use coloured pencils to add the smaller details.
Don't they look amazing so far?!

Year 2 had a fun-filled, busy day learning about the history of the coal mines through role play, artwork, artifacts and the tour of the museum at Woodhorn Colliery.

The Summer Fair is just around the corner!
We have a non-uniform day coming up and are also on the look out for any tombola donations. If anyone has any unopened items they'd like to generously donate, we are still collecting these also.

Reception Robins had the BEST time at Glendale Show - Glendale Agricultural Society children's countryside day. So much for the children to see and do to find out more about life in the countryside 🚜🌾🐑

"Five bored Vikings went out hiking, looking for adventure, for something bold and new. So they thought they'd hunt a dragon, and then tie it to their wagon, take it home and chop it up to make a dragon stew!"
Reception loved focusing on the book Dragon Stew and wrote their own recipe book for how to make a dragon stew. They all sound delicious!

Year 2 and 3 went to visit Cragside before the holidays. They walked up to Slipper Lake and drew an observational drawing, and saw lots of dragonflies too! Then they walked across the Iron Bridge to the Pinetum and spent some time reflecting and observing the huge fir trees!
