Show day is finally here! 🎨🌾 The annual warkworthshow is about to commence!

We are absolutely thrilled to share a look at the stunning student artwork our children have submitted this year under the Northumbrian Wildlife category. From starry barn owls to coastal puffins and woodland hedgehogs, the incredible creativity on display spans all the way from our youngest artists in Reception up to our Year 6s!

As a school, we are incredibly proud of our deep-rooted links to our wonderful local community. Our pupils have absolutely loved preparing for today, and they can’t wait for everyone to see their hard work displayed.

Pupils’ Voice, Playground Choice!

At our school, we believe every child’s voice matters. When our School Council was given an exciting £1,000 budget, they took on the responsibility of making a real difference to playtimes for everyone. They listened to the ideas of pupils and staff, carefully researched the best equipment, compared options online, and made thoughtful decisions to ensure every pound was well spent.

The result is a playground filled with exciting new resources that encourage fun, friendship, teamwork, and active play. This project is just one example of how our pupils are empowered to become confident leaders, make meaningful decisions, and help shape a school where everyone feels valued, included, and inspired to thrive.

What a fantastic way to finish the term! Our children had so much fun in our Pea Hunt searching for hidden peas across the playground. Every pea collected valuable points for their house team.

Among the very best in England 🌟

95% of our Year 6 pupils achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, with 38% achieving the higher standard in all three.

That is far above both the local average of 58% and the national average of 62%.

These results place Warkworth in the top 1% of primary schools nationally - not simply one of the strongest schools in our area, but among the very highest-performing in the country.

We are immensely proud of our brilliant children and staff. 💚
