Something very odd is going on in the world of the Wirral Local Plan. Despite it being 19 years late in delivery it is being halted because the council cannot find the resources to run it and the Leverhulme appeals. This, even though the Local Plan could support the rebuttal of the developer's applications.
Now, call me cynical, but there seems to be a "stable door and bolted" scenario here whereby the door is wide open for the developer to go through and where the bolt could have been the Local Plan!
Maybe I am just too cynical, but I feel like I am alone in the council in seeing something fishy. I genuinely hope I am wrong.
Am I?

I am the councillor for Greasby, Frankby and Irby and am standing as an independent at the May elections. There is still so much work to do to fight the destruction of our greenbelt on the Wirral, but especially in Greasby and Irby.
Working with local activist groups such as Natural Wirral (naturalwirral.org), ITPAS (itpas.org.uk), the Wirral Society (wirralsociety.net) and CPRE (cprelocalgroups.org.uk)

Please join us and save this stunning land for agriculture, utility and pleasure. Our children deserve that we fight for it.
