π π Under the Sea Fun! ππ
Our children had a wonderful time exploring our Under the Sea sensory activity today! Using pincers, pipettes, and pouring tools, they carefully rescued sea creatures, transferred water, and investigated different textures and materials.
While the activity was lots of fun, it also supported important areas of development. Using pincers and pipettes helps strengthen the small muscles in children's hands and fingers, developing the fine motor skills needed for future writing and self-care tasks. Squeezing pipettes also improves hand strength and coordination.
Pouring and transferring water encourages concentration, hand-eye coordination, and early mathematical concepts such as volume, capacity, and cause and effect. Children were also developing their language skills as they talked about the sea creatures, described what they were doing, and shared their discoveries with friends.
Learning through play allows children to explore, investigate, and build confidence while having fun. We loved seeing their curiosity and excitement as they dived into their underwater adventure! ππ¦π
