At 56 acres in size, Batsford is an intimate and romanti

One of the standout highlights in the arboretum right now 🌿

Our Head Gardener Matt takes a closer look at some of the beautiful ornimental flowering dogwoods (Cornus) currently putting on a display across the gardens, including Cornus Kousa and the striking Cornus Venus.

With their delicate blooms and layered branches, they’re well worth seeking out on your next visit.

Also available to purchase in our plant centre🌱

One of our favourite things about Batsford is how much wildlife calls it home.

You never quite know what you’ll spot next🦆

One of the most meaningful trees at Batsford 🌳

This horse chestnut tree is a seedling from the original tree that stood outside Anne Frank’s attic hiding place in Amsterdam — the very tree she wrote about in her diary as her connection to the outside world.

Although the original tree was lost in 2010, its legacy lives on here at Batsford as a quiet memorial to Anne’s life and story.
