Why revise SP205 Scheme for Life Safety Fire Risk Assessments?
Similar to BS 8674, our revised Scheme takes a tiered approach, recognising Fire Risk Assessors at foundation, immediate and advanced levels.

This tiered approach makes sure Fire Risk Assessors do not work beyond their competence level and helps them to develop in their career. It helps Fire Risk Assessors prepare to take on increasingly complex work in a way that is both progressive and can be supported by more experienced experts or specialists.

Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment Scheme (SP205) Version 6 is now available!

Now a tiered approach with foundation, immediate and advanced levels in line with BS 8674.

BS 8674 creates a development pathway for those engaged in Fire Risk Assessment practice, helping them to develop in their career. This ensures that they do not work beyond their level of competence and prepares them to take on increasingly complex work in a way that is progressive and when necessary, can be supported by more experienced experts or specialists.
