At Public Audit Committee this morning, I followed up on my Portfolio question to the Cabinet Secretary about planning policy in rural areas yesterday by asking the Auditor General if he’ll be considering the planning system within the joint audit on Housing with the Accounts Commission that’s due in January 2027.

I also asked how the intended changes in the structure of the NHS will impact the annual audits he carries out.
