Opening hours: Monday 11am-3pm (if the Council are due to have an evening meeting then the office staff may not be in until later in the day, so please make sure to phone ahead to avoid disappointment). Tuesday 11am-3pm
Wednesday CLOSED
Thursday - Officers will be working from home and can be contacted via email ([email protected]) between the hours of 11am-3pm

⏰Outdoor Cinema - Special Screening of Mamma Mia! 6 days to go🍿

We hope you are looking forward to this wonderful community celebration as much as we are! Sunday 20th September, doors open
6.15 pm for a 7.15 pm start.

💺 Don't forget this is an evening, outdoor event, with no seating provided. Bring what you need to comfortably enjoy the event, picnic blanket or camping chair the choice is yours! Dressing up is welcomed but not essential!
🍕🍔🍷🍺Food and drink will be available to purchase, from vendors on site.

🎟We have been overwhelmed by residents wanting to attend this event.
This is a free, but ticketed event and capacity is limited.
Please do not turn up without a reservation.

Tourism businesses across Monmouthshire are being encouraged to apply for a new grant scheme designed to improve accessibility and ensure more people can enjoy everything the county has to offer.

Monmouthshire County Council has launched the Visitor Accessibility Improvement Grant for private enterprises, offering funding of up to £10,000 for projects that improve access for visitors across the county

Mayor of Monmouth Councillor Rob Barrell was delighted to join Marion and Lisa Meek for the official re-opening of Shiraz, Monmouth with his consort and wife Rev. Julie Barrell.

The ribbon cutting and celebratory event marked the happy re-opening of the Monnow Street store following its closure as a result of the Monmouth flood last November.

🚫Road Closure – St Marys Street and Whitecross Street, Monmouth 🚫

Monmouth Town Council have been informed about an order to:
(i) temporarily close a section of St Marys Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, ~95m from its junction with Almshouse Street for ~100m.
(ii) temporarily suspend the one-way system on Whitecross Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire from its junction with A466 Mon Street to its junction with St Marys Street.
(iii) temporarily introduce a two-way system on Whitecross Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire to allow access/egress.

The order is necessary for Gas works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the 2nd September 2026.

A signed diversion route will be in place as follows:- Almshouse Street, A466 St James Street, A466 St James Square, A466 Whitecross Street and vice versa.
