We know many people locally still have no water on Christmas morning and I see people are still queueing at the temporary water bottle centre at the premier inn. Ours came back on last night so if anybody locally needs to come and fill tubs etc from the taps here please feel free or if we can do anything else to help please message us. Merry Christmas everybody! Mitchel Troy, Monmouthshire, United Kingdom Mitchel Troy Village Hall

Just to try to give some sort of update. We have received several updates and guidance notes from the government and bhhpa. This is still not entirely clear but we think we know where we stand at the moment. Caravan parks have been told to close, however where caravans and holiday homes are being used as temporary or primary residence, even during isolation only, then they will be allowed to stay and use the caravan. We take this as meaning we must stay open to accommodate this use but no other. Therefore those who are already on site isolating due to not having anywhere else to use or because they are still working locally as ‘key workers’ (as is the case with two care workers we know of) can continue to do so. However those who are not staying on site will not be able to visit during the restrictions currently in place. If you have food or essential items at the caravan which you need to retrieve then please do so. However due to the several high risk family members we have living on site, we ask that when you do so please do not visit the house or office. We will not be closing officially, in the sense that we will remain open to those above and will not be clearing the site of caravans etc. I’m sorry this is not entirely as clear and concise as we would like but we are trying to piece together the information we have received so far and essentially ‘fill in the blanks’ as best we can.

Please feel free to message us here with any questions and we will do our best to answer them.

We all need to respect the decision of the government at this time and do our best to stop the spread of this virus as quickly as we can so that we can get back to normal and enjoy the summer on site!
Many thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
Wayne and Maria.

for those of you who have not seen it already, one of our seasonal tenants has organised a charity event this evening in Mitchel troy village hall (5 doors up from our park) starting at 7:30pm there will be bingo, a raffle and a disco. £5 per head and all monies go to Latch, the children's cancer hospital in Cardiff. Wendy has asked us to let everybody know anyone is welcome!

UPDATE***
the entrance is now impossible to use, the snow is around an inch deep and has now frozen into one big sheet of ice, we have gritted the hill but it is falling too fast to keep under control. I would very strongly advise against attempting to bring caravans in for a few days at least. We have just had a Land Rover take 3 attempts to make it up the drive
