At this time of year, there's an invasion of these wee guys, heading to our pond Sometimes getting stuck behind a hen house, sometime's trying to get there through our house. Once in the pond, the water comes alive with noise and movement and then just like that, it's all over for another year.

A Plague of frogs? No way! They help keep our abundant slug population a little more under control and are great to have around the smallholding.

Here, to prove we're back and still paying attention, is a photo of our Witch Hazel from this morning. Deliciously fragrant, even if you do have to bend down a long way because it's so wee!

Honestly, I call this Moffat Untamed and then geek out on symmetry in planting 😜 Marvel of Four Seasons lettuce with intercropped Cherry Belle radish as a catch crop. Protected by military grade netting against cats. This will be mullered by slugs when the rain comes, but for now... 😍
