Multiple fire extinguisher installations carried out in Taunton today on behalf of Justin at Harris Residential 🧯🔥

Complete overhauls were required throughout 3 apartment dwellings and management offices to bring the fire extinguisher provisions up to standard. A variety of 22 x Fluorine Free Water, CO2 and Water Mist extinguishers supplied, commissioned and installed in accordance with BS5306.

Annual servicing now scheduled to ensure they are kept in efficient working order should they ever be needed ✅️

This is a HUGE problem and only getting worse!

I find countless counterfeit chargers every week and almost all of them have been purchased from online marketplaces such as Amazon, Ebay and Temu. Some feel weighty, as explained in the article, as they are filled with heavier material, and well printed safety markings make it difficult to spot fakes.

The answer - DO NOT buy electrical items from these marketplaces and only use reputable retailers. Prices may be cheaper and delivery times quicker, but it's simply not worth the risk! ⚡️🔥

New fire extinguisher installation carried out today for Hathaways of Dunster 🧯🔥

Supply, commission and installation of a 6L Wet Chemical, 3L EnviroFoam, 2kg CO2 and a suitable fire blanket to cover all of the risks in accordance with BS5306-3:2017 and BS5306-8:2023.

Service documentation sent and annual service reminders set up. Fully compliant for another year, insurers kept happy and one less thing for the customer to remember to organise! ✅️

Hathaways offers a stunning dining experience in a beautiful and intimate setting with first class service. If you haven't visited, you're missing out. It doesn't get much better than this! 👌

I also picked up this pristine 1983 TG50 9L Water cartridge fire extinguisher today. Another one now taking pride of place on my office wall! 👌

Finishing up the week with annual PAT retests and fire extinguisher services for Alan at Le Petit Salon and BALES Gentlemen's Hairdressers in Minehead to ensure no disruption to the businesses ✅️

100 appliances tested for electrical safety, 3 x fire extinguishers serviced and a new 2L FireXO multipurpose extinguisher supplied, commissioned and installed. Paperwork on it's way and annual reminders set up for next year.

A huge number of faults identified this week including damaged and counterfeit items, electrical test failures, overloaded extension leads, incorrect wiring and cracked wall outlets 🧐

Most were repaired at the time of testing, all counterfeit goods were removed from service and remedial work on the fixed wiring was carried out by MA Electrical. A much safer environment for all in several more local businesses! ✅️

The 'most' dangerous was a 4000W plate warmer connected to a standard 13A double outlet via 2.5mm flex and a 3-pin plug. A 3000W kettle was connected to the other outlet resulting in significant heat damage to the plugs and wiring behind the overloaded outlet! 🔥
