Ash Dieback is killing Ash trees, leaving them brittle, unstable and more likely to shed branches 🌳

To protect visitors, we'll be removing several affected trees close to paths in Howe Park, Shenley and Linford Wood throughout September and early October.

This work will require temporary path closures with diversions in place. We appreciate everyone’s patience whilst we carry out this important work which will ensure our woodland paths remain open and safe for everyone to use.

This work will be carried out by experienced team members following guidance from the Forestry Commission and the Tree Council. Once complete, we'll look to replace the lost trees with a wide variety of species to help create healthier, more resilient woodlands for the future.

β›ˆοΈ Take care as the rains return β›ˆοΈ

We all want the grass to turn green again, but lawns and playing fields that have been baked hard this summer will struggle to absorb heavy rain straightaway.

Please be mindful of standing water, surface run-off and overwhelmed drains when the downpours finally come.
