🚨Don't forget, this Sunday (6 September) we will be opening our gates again from 11 am - 3 pm for our Emergency Services Open Day! 🚒

You will get the chance to meet your local firefighters, enjoy food from local businesses and enter our amazing raffle with some fantastic prizes you won’t want to miss out on!

👉Just a heads up, unfortunately there is no parking available at our Fire Station. The best place to park will be by the MK Dons Stadium in car parks N1, E1 and E2, these spaces are pay and display, and can be paid for via the RingGo app using code 63470, at a 50% discounted rate of £3 for up to 3 hours. It’s only a very short walk, and you’ll be at the station in no time.

We’re really keen to raise as much money as possible for the Fire Fighters Charity , so don’t forget to bring along any loose change.

🚨Incident🚨

Firefighters remain at the scene of a waste fire in the Bleak Hall, Milton Keynes area, which generated smoke visible across a wide area.

🚨Incident🚨

Firefighters remain at the scene of a house fire on Plumstead Avenue, Bradwell Common, Milton Keynes.

 Today, Red Watch teamed up with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust for a joint training exercise.

Our first scenario involved two casualties: one who became unconscious while working from a beam, and another who had become mechanically trapped by a forklift. Crews worked together to assess, treat and safely extricate the casualties, demonstrating the importance of effective communication and multi-agency teamwork.

Our second exercise focused on practising our 10-second triage, helping crews rapidly assess patients and prioritise treatment during major incidents.

Joint training exercises like these are invaluable in strengthening our operational response, improving inter-agency coordination, and ensuring we continue to provide the highest standard of care to our communities.

A big thank you to everyone involved for another successful day of training.

☀️ Extremely hot temperatures are forecast for this week and with that comes safety risks.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer Simon Tuffley shared; "We’re asking everyone to make safe choices over the coming days, particularly around open water, barbecues and dry open spaces. Small actions can have serious consequences in these conditions, but many incidents are entirely preventable if we all play our part. "

Help your Firefighters 👨‍🚒

🌭 Planning a BBQ?
✅ Keep BBQs off grass and away from fences, sheds, and trees. Dry vegetation catches quickly, this means avoid barbecuing in parks, fields or woodlands.
✅Dispose of ashes from BBQs properly, they stay hot for hours.

🚜 Working on the land?
Farmers, please take extra care when using machinery in these conditions. Hot, dry vegetation can ignite easily, and sparks or heat from equipment can start fast spreading fires in open areas. Check your kit, clear debris, and stay alert.

Avoid setting bonfires in this heat, instead:
✅ Take rubbish to a household waste recycling centre or arrange a collection

Today we are supporting Milton Keynes College, Bletchley, for a charity event in aid of an amazing cause!

They are running lengths of hose from Milton Keynes College to Bicester Fire Station in support of those affected by the Bicester Motion incident, while also raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity.

We have two requests today:
🚒 We would love any local firefighters to come along and run some hose with us!
❤️ We are also asking members of the public to please donate whatever they can to support this incredible event and cause.
