P3 Milton Keynes

P3 Milton Keynes P3's Link Worker Services are designed to improve ways of working with people who have complex and / or multiple needs.

The aim is to enable them to 'link' into local services that meet their needs. We are not time limited in our work and are able to work at a pace agreed with clients. Link workers assist clients with housing issues, financial difficulties, mental health needs, addressing drug and alcohol needs, relationship problems, developing social networks, accessing education and employment. In Milton Keynes

we have a number of partnerships with local agencies and are currently providing the following services -

- Court Liaison and Diversion - Partnership with Thames Valley Probation and St Andrews

Based at Milton Keynes Probation Office link workers provide assessment of offenders who present at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court with mental health needs and / or learning difficulties in order to inform the court and assist with sentencing. Through this process offenders are identified who may benefit from support from link workers in the longer term, these individuals are allocated a link worker and a full service is offered in order to help the offender meet their needs and reduce the likelihood of re-offending. Through the liaison and diversion service link workers are assisting with the identification and assessment of offenders suitability for Mental Health Treatment Requirements in partnership with St Andrews. High Intensity User Service - Multi-agency partnership delivered by P3

This service provides support to people who frequently use emergency services such as police, ambulance and A&E. Link workers aim to understand the root causes of this high usage, and connect people to the most appropriate services for their social, emotional and practical needs.
