Today saw a group of cadets attend the West Wales District Sail and Windsurf Competition, which was held at Pembrokeshire Yacht Club.

All of our cadets done very well in their categories and at presentations we saw the following outcomes:

Junior Sea Cadet Sailing:
JC Ffion - 4th Place
LJC Winter - Joint 2nd Place 🥈

Junior Quest Sailing:
OC Naomi & CDT 1st Dylan - 1st place 🥇 🏆

4.5m Windsurf:
OC Kyra - 3rd Place 🥉
AC Saskia - 2nd Place 🥈

6.8m Windsurf:
AC Ryan - 1st Place 🥇 🏆

Overall Sail and Windsurf Competition Winners!! 🏆

A brilliant effort from you all and look forward to seeing you participate at Area.

Congratulations to Captain Glyn Garland MN RTD and Mrs Dawn Garland on receiving their Citizens Award from the Mayor of Milford Haven at the Pill Social Centre this evening.

This well-deserved recognition reflects their outstanding dedication, service and commitment to the unit and the wider community!

It was a proud moment to see Captain Glyn and Dawn be honoured for their efforts and the award was fitting for the support they continue to give the young people of Milford Haven Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets!

Congratulations to you both in this special achievement and for the support you give us all!

This week we are wishing Able Cadet Ryan good luck as he goes offshore for a week on one of the Sea Cadet Offshore Yachts (TS Sir Stelios).

It isn’t too late to come and have a look…. Aged 12 - 17 years old?

Sea Cadets is now in Carmarthen and we already have a Junior Sea Cadet section, who are aged 9 to 11 years old now OPEN.

We are delighted to bring you the launch of our Sea Cadet section for our 12 to 17 year olds - with our Open Evening on Friday 12th June 2026, 1830 (6:30pm) to 2030 (8:30pm).

🎉🎉 Well done to all of you 🎉🎉

A very hard but fun week for 6 of the cadets from Milford Haven as they took to the water on a week long voyage offshore on T.S John Jerwood.

A very big congratulations to all the qualifications gained while you were away, even with the weather not so on your side.

Voyages like this one are only made possible by the brilliant Sea Cadet Offshore team. Thank you for the amazing work you do to allow this amazing opportunity to be possible.

🎉 Massive congratulations 🎉

Over the past week Petty Officer Cadet Iwan has been undergoing his training and assessment to become a Cadet Drill Instructor.

After lots of hard work and effort he has PASSED!!!

BZ POC Iwan a very difficult qualification to gain but well earned.

🌊⛵️🛶 Bank Holiday Training Day 🚣🏼‍♀️⛵️🌊

Today saw cadets and staff attend a training day to progress through various waterborne qualifications.

Throughout the day (even though it was a warm one) our cadets pushed themselves to gain the following qualifications:

1x Windsurf Taster Certificate
2x Youth Sailing Stage 1
7x Youth Sailing Taster Certificates
2x Rowing Taster Certificates
2x Row 2 (Competant Crew)
4x Paddle Start Awards

A huge congratulations to all of the cadets and a massive thank you to the volunteers who gave up their time to assist our cadets gain these experiences!
