Netherton & Middlestown Community First Responders We are a group of authorised volunteers for Yorkshire Ambulance Service located in Netherton & Middl

We provide a life-saving service which aims to help reduce the number of pre-hospital deaths in Yorkshire. We also cover Horbury, Overton, Flockton & surrounding areas. We are trained to provide life-saving treatment to residents in the area in the vital first minutes of an emergency until an ambulance arrives.

Can we remember to watch out for neighbours (especially the elderly) who may be on their own at this time of year...

Look for un-collected newspapers, milk, mail, lights on or off at odd times, curtains/blinds open or closed at wrong times, bins not out or not in, or if their routine is suddenly different.

CFRs have had a number of incidents recently where people have fallen or collapsed in their homes and not been discovered for a number of hours.

Although the outcomes were positive, there must be an element of worry or distress for the person involved.

Netherton Junior and Infant School
A Defibrillator is now fitted to the front of the School, (In a Yellow Box) in case of an emergency and a Defibrillator is required, call 999 and they will give you the code for access.
