Ormesby Hall - National Trust

Ormesby Hall - National Trust A classic Georgian mansion, with family events and activities throughout the year. We welcome feedback – both positive and negative.
(1)

Home to the Pennyman family for over 400 years, Ormesby Hall, garden and parkland is a green oasis in Middlesbrough, close to the North York Moors National Park. Home of the Pennyman family for over 400 years, this classic Georgian mansion has attractive gardens and estate walks. In the old servant wing is a Victorian Kitchen & Laundry, along with two permanent model railway layouts. Visitors can

experience the spirit of the intimate home of Colonel Jim Pennyman, the last of the Pennyman line, and his arts-loving wife Ruth, as well as the stylish legacy of the 18th century character ‘Wicked’ Sir James Pennyman – so named due to his extravagant lifestyle and his gambling with the family fortune! Could your business be part of the next chapter of Ormesby Hall's popular new multi-user trail?

Since opening earlier this year, the free-to-use 3.1km trail has welcomed thousands of walkers, runners, cyclists, dog walkers and families, quickly becoming a popular destination for people across Middlesbrough and Teesside.

As we continue to develop the trail, we're looking for a food and beverage operator to provide hot and cold drinks, ice cream and light refreshments from a dedicated trading location on the estate through to autumn 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to serve visitors enjoying one of Teesside's newest outdoor destinations and become part of a growing community space at Ormesby Hall.
