Thirteen has teamed up with Vision Building Services and The Talent Foundry to help hundreds of young people in Middlesbrough explore their future career opportunities.

The ‘New Perspectives’ programme brings together colleagues from all three organisations, key business partners from across the region and Year 8 and 9 students from The King's Academy, Acklam Grange, Trinity Catholic College and Outwood Academy Acklam.

Through mentor-led sessions held at the four schools, students are building an 'Estate of Opportunity' - a large 3D model of a modern housing estate which will go on display at Middlesbrough Library.

It's been a privilege to help students recognise their strengths, find out more about the different opportunities available in Teesside and apply what they've learned to the project.

We can’t wait to see the Estate of Opportunity come to life in the next few weeks.
