Bridging the Gap Youth

Age range catered for 8 to 19 years old, under 12s may only attend for 1 hour and 59 minutes. We provide a safe and stimulating environment for the young people. We promote inclusion of young people with special or specific needs, with child empowerment and equality of opportunity for all that wish to use our provision. The young people come to socialise with their peers, have fun and learn life s

kills. All young people must be signed in by an adult at the beginning of the session (unless the club is collecting them from school) and also be signed out by a designated adult at the end of each session. Our premises include:
• A spacious hall.
• A fully equipped kitchen
• Computer room
• Enclosed outside area, partly tarmacked for all our sporting activities, part grass for gardening, water play etc. Activities include: -
• Gardening Club
• Cookery sessions
• Craft linked to our theme
• A wide range of sporting activities
• Sensory activates including off-site visits to a sensory room
• Computer room with use of IPad’s etc
• Lots of parties! Bridging the Gap Youth has a voluntary management committee consisting of parents and volunteers. Bridging the Gap Youth After School Club is run with a sole interest of the young people. All staff are DBS checked and attend regular training courses (e.g. epilepsy, autism, first aid, food hygiene etc). Project Manger – Christine Butler
