On Saturday afternoon (6 June), PCSOs Moore and Kolasinski attended the fete at St Michaelโ€™s Church in Mere and despite the heavy rain, the church was packed with fete-goers enjoying live music, games for all ages and a dog show.

The team even joined a tour of the church tower, taking in the impressive views from the roof.

Have an event coming up in your area and would like the neighbourhood team to attend/take part? Weโ€™d love to hear from you. Please email: [email protected] to let us know.

Weโ€™re asking parents, carers and residents to be aware of recent reports of children and young people entering derelict and abandoned buildings in the area.

These locations can be extremely dangerous. Hazards may include:

- Unsafe or collapsing structures
- Weak floors and roofs
- Broken glass and sharp materials
- Hidden dangers and hazardous substances.

Even if a building looks empty, it is not a safe place to explore, meet friends or play.

๐Ÿ‘‰ We encourage conversations with young people about these risks and the importance of staying away from vacant properties.

โœ… Please report any concerns, such as:

- Damaged fencing or open access points
- Signs of trespassing or suspicious activity

We are appealing for information following a series of thefts from vehicles in the Mere area.

The incidents happened overnight on May 14 and 15 in Lynch Close, Bramley Hill and Clements Lane.

Cash, wallets and tools were stolen during the incidents.

On each occasion, we believe the vehicles had been left unlocked and it is likely the offenders have been trying car door handles in the area. Please ensure all vehicles are locked and valuables removed from inside at all times.

Anyone with information, including CCTV or doorbell footage, should call 101 and quote 54260057854. Alternatively, call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Depending on previous convictions and history, all 8 drivers will be offered a speed awareness course.

Proceedings will now be undertaken to ensure the most appropriate outcome for the offenders takes place.

Be safe. Drive smart. Watch your speed.

Today (18/05/26), officers have been out with the mobile police station in the Warminster area as part of Sceptre - a national campaign highlighting the issues around knife crime.

The mobile police station enables us to bring our office directly into the heart of the community and be more accessible to you.

Over the coming week, officers will be visiting various locations across Warminster, Westbury, Mere and Tisbury for drop-ins focused on knife crime.

Check out the pinned posts advertising where we'll be this week and also, tune into our Facebook Live tomorrow (Tuesday 19 May) at 1pm on the Warminster Police page.
