With the World Cup now in full swing many of us may be gathering together to watch a game or two.

Score a win for the environment by following these top tips from Leicestershire Recycling and keeping your recycling on target. ♻️👇

The World Cup starts today.
If you are having a gathering to watch the games or just having a relaxed time watching at home, here are a few things to remember:
🍾Glass and plastic bottles can be recycled from home
🪩Foil can be scrunched in a ball and recycled at home
🛒Plastic film, such as crisp packets, sweet bags etc. can all be taken to a local supermarket for recycling.

Join us for our next Estate Walk on Wednesday 24 June, 10am–12pm. We’ll be starting at Beckmill Court and finishing at Regent Street, with stops along the way at Granby House, St Johns Court and Rosebery Avenue.

Come along to meet your housing team, raise any issues, and have a chat about your neighbourhood.

Great family fun, simply collect an entry sheet from either Balloon Bar Melton (Burton St) or The Hub (Unit 4, Bell Centre) and work your way around town collecting the green tips 🗺️

It may have been a grey start this morning, but the town centre planters are looking vibrant! 🌼🌿

Our Environmental Maintenance Team have been out and about in Melton Mowbray today, making sure the planters look their best for the summer.

Inspired by the Commonwealth Games, this year’s planting theme features a vibrant mix of yellow, blue and orange to brighten the town.

On Friday 5 June, the car park at the Melton Mowbray Country Park Visitors Centre, off Wymondham Way, will be closed.

This is so we can carry out essential maintenance works in the car park to fix the potholes that have developed.

⚠️ We ask that you do not leave any vehicles in the car park on Thursday night. Any vehicles in the car park on Friday morning will not be able to exit the car park until the works are complete.

We anticipate the works will be complete by 5pm on Friday 5 June and that the car park will be back open on Saturday.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience whilst we make these improvements.

If you would like to visit the Country Park on Friday 5 June, and need to travel by car, we have a number of other car parks located around the site.
