💚 UPDATE POST 💚
Heya people, Dave here! Just thought I'd hop on and give you a little update all things PLANT-related, for those interested!
🌱 We're completely revamping our evening menu! We're giving pizzas a break, and bringing in a selection of small plates, with a great variety of healthy veg options as well as more indulgent treats for those fancying something j***y.
🌱 We'll also be launching a brand-new drinks menu in 11 days! Lots of summery cocktails, and Pimm's on the menu for the first time! I'll also be out and about foraging elderflower to make another batch of Blossom Gin Liqueur, which will be available for sale by the bottle 🥰
🌱 We've got a Summer Supper Club coming up in just over a fortnight! This is going to be full to the brim with locally-grown and wild-foraged goodies, and well worth trying out. This will be a ticket-only event, which we'll release next week. We've reduced the price of this slightly too, in order to make it a little more affordable for everyone.
🌱 We're planning a Ramen Night for mid-June, with a create-your-own menu and loads of amazing ingredient combinations! Dates and details will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
🌱 Saturday 16th July is 'Celebrate Sadler Gate' Day, and we're planning an outdoor BBQ for you lovely lot! Burgers, sausages, corn-on-the-cob, relishes, salads - the whole shebang! More details will be released soon ☀️
It's a tough time for all hospitality independents at the minute, with the price of food and drink rising drastically in the past few months. Cooking oil has doubled in price, flour has shot up, fruit and veg is up by 20%. Our alcohol and coffee suppliers have raised their prices twice in the past year. Energy prices are obviously through the roof, even more so since we choose more sustainable energy options.
This rise in costs on top of still-reduced footfall due to the pandemic is deeply concerning to me, but we're persevering as a team and still doing everything we can to provide affordable vegan food to our lovely customers.
I'm so grateful to the whole team for sticking with me on this, and we're looking forward to the coming months.
