If having a BBQ at home ensure it is away from fences and sheds and don’t leave it unattended just like cooking inside in the kitchen. 🍗

Join our Community Education team for all things water safety at Shardlow Marina & Caravan Park!

As we head into summer, come along to learn how to stay safe around water — and have a go at using a water throw line, an important piece of equipment should you see someone in difficulty in the water.

Everyone welcome is welcome for this free event, so come along and say hello 👋

☀️No matter how warm it gets outside, open water remains cold meaning there is a high risk of drowning.

If you find yourself in difficulty in the water, :
- Tilt your head back with ears submerged
- Relax and try to breathe normally
- Move your hands and legs to help you stay afloat
- It's ok if your legs sink, we all float differently

Remember it. Practise it. Share it.
